Postman is an application which is currently one of the most popular tools used in API development and testing. It helps you manage your APSs in every stage of development from designing and testing to publishing API documentation and monitoring. It is a very user-friendly interface for calling remote API.

Prerequisites
Make sure you having Sudo privileges while installing this application. If you are running on Ubuntu 16+ or late, including Ubuntu 18+, Ubuntu 19+ and Ubuntu 20+, you don’t need to do anything. Snap is already installed and ready to go.

Install Postman

Postman package is available in snapcraft after Ubuntu 16 and later versions. So we can simply execute the following command to install Postman.

sudo snap install postman

Postman 7.31.1 from Postman, Inc. (postman-inc*) installed

Once the package is downloaded and installed, we will get above the output message.

Now we can start the Postman under applications, Once the application is started you can signup or sign.

Postman install ubuntu

We have successfully install Postman on your Ubuntu 16.04/Ubuntu 18.04/Ubuntu 19.10/Ubuntu 20.04 machine. We can now explore your new API tool and start working on your projects
