Hi All, this document shows you how to set up database clusters in the digital ocean.
DigitalOcean, Inc. is an American cloud infrastructure provider headquartered in New York City with data centers worldwide. DigitalOcean provides developers with cloud services that help to deploy and scale applications that run simultaneously on multiple computers.

  • DigitalOcean account

Step 1: Log in to digital ocean account,

Step 2: Go to Manage and select databases from the main dashboard.

Step 3: Click on create database cluster.

Step 4: From the database cluster creation wizard, choose your database engine.
In my case, I’m choosing MySQL.

Step 5: Choose a cluster configuration, it all depends upon your need.

Step 6: Choose a datacenter
Choose your nearest data center location.

Step 7: Choose a unique database cluster name and click on create database cluster.

Step 8: Now configure your cluster security, click get started

Step 9: Choose your inbound traffic IP address.

Step 10: Gather all your connection details from the next screen.

Step 11: Now wait for the cluster to get active. It will take some time. Have a cup of coffee 🙂

Step 12: Once your database cluster active, you can proceed with connecting the database cluster.
