Hi All, this document deals with how to install terraform in ubuntu.
Terraform is an open-source infrastructure as code software tool created by HashiCorp. It enables users to define and provision a datacenter infrastructure using a high-level configuration language known as Hashicorp Configuration Language, or optionally JSON.


Installation

Step 1: Install unzip if not available.

apt-get install unzip

Step 2: Download terraform from official website.

wget https://releases.hashicorp.com/terraform/0.12.17/terraform_0.12.17_linux_amd64.zip

Step 3: Extract the downloaded file.

unzip terraform_0.12.17_linux_amd64.zip

Step 4: Move the executable into a directory searched for executables

mv terraform /usr/local/bin/

Step 5: Now check the version.

terraform --version
