how to configure grafana alerts notification on Microsoft Teams1 min read

Hi All, this document deals with how to configure grafana alerts notification on Microsoft Teams.
Grafana is one of the best visualizers which reads data from most of all the data sources includes MySQL, MSSQL, cloud watch, Azure Monitor, etc,
Grafana Supports lots of email notification channels such as Email, Teams, Hangout, Telegraph, etc.

Sometimes are need to configure alert notifications other than email. So mostly people prefer other channels for notification and some of the most common are SMS, Teams, Hangouts, Whatsapp, etc.

So Here today we will show you how to send out grafana alerts using teams.


Step 1: Click on connectors from the team’s channel.

Step 2: Select the Incoming webhook and configure it.

Step 3: Copy the webhook URL for configuring in grafana
Step 4: Goto Grafana – Alers Channel and select webhook

Step 5: Paste the webhook URL and select the required inputs for your alert notification.

Step 6: Click on save and test, Now check the Teams channel, you will able the see a sample message as below.

    thanks for the guide. i tried to configure grafana alerts to teams with your guide. but i am getting below error.

    “Failed to send teams notification” logger=alerting.notifier.teams error=”Post net/http: request canceled while waiting for connection (Client.Timeout exceeded while awaiting headers)” webhook=Teams

    But i can get response to teams via curl command. can you please help me.

    On grafana server, check your proxy settings. After updating the proxy server details in config file, it started working.

    I have the same issue. On my Server the proxy is set for http and https and works. But Grafana Alerting try to connect direct on 443
